Attorney Frazer Receives Milwaukee Bar Association's Messenger Award

MADISON/MILWAUKEE/MINNEAPOLIS – DeWitt Ross & Stevens S.C. today announced attorney Douglas H. Frazer of its Milwaukee office received the coveted Messenger Award from the Milwaukee Bar Association (MBA) which recognized the best article published in the MBA’s Messenger Magazine in 2014.

Frazer’s article, “The Cranberry Brief,” traced the historic roots of Wisconsin’s protective cranberry grower’s law in an easy-to-read style. He received the award at the Milwaukee Bar Association’s Annual Meeting and Luncheon which was held at the Italian Community Center in June. The Annual Meeting is the premier event of the Milwaukee Bar Association’s calendar and hosted a robust awards program, as well as the oath of office as administered to new officers and board members.

Frazer concentrates his practice in the area of tax, litigation, trust and estates and business law. For more than 25 years he has represented individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, not-for-profits, and bankruptcy, divorce, decedent and receivership estates in tax and other related matters. He is a frequent contributor to the MBA’s Messenger Magazine as well as the Wisconsin Lawyer and The Fox Point of View. Frazer is the Chair of the Wisconsin Lawyer Editorial Board, a Trustee for the Village of Fox Point, and the Weed Commissioner for the Village of Fox Point. Frazer earned his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and his B.A. from Oberlin College.
