Waukesha, WI – Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County (Habitat Waukesha) has announced that Chief Executive Officer Mike Crowley has resigned and Operations Manager Sara Clark has been promoted to Director of Operations, Acting CEO. Crowley’s last day will be January 15.

As a dedicated advocate for affordable homeownership, Crowley states, “I am so proud of the work Habitat does. It truly has been a privilege to lead this organization. The Board of Directors, staff, our saints, and volunteers will continue its mission of building homes, communities, and hope for Waukesha County families in need of affordable housing.” Crowley accepted a position with the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin.

Board of Directors President Aaron Melnarik remarked, “While we are saddened Mike is leaving Habitat Waukesha, we are fortunate for his leadership during his time with the organization. Clark stated, "I'm honored and excited for the opportunity to help Habitat Waukesha become a household name in the community. As a homeowner myself, I understand the urgent need for affordable housing in Waukesha County. Using the strong foundation that Mike has laid down, along with our amazing team, I am passionate about leading Habitat Waukesha into a bright and promising future."
