Eaton Invests $24 million in Waukesha site expansion

Eaton is redesigning its Power Systems footprint in southeast Wisconsin to increase production of regulators and transformers, improve production efficiencies and reduce costs.

This project is a long-term investment in the community that will enable Eaton to increase volume and better meet the growing needs of customers in the utility markets.

$24 million is being invested in the Badger Drive facility as part of the 233,000 sq ft expansion.

As announced in 2017, Eaton is outsourcing operations from the facility on Hickory Street in Pewaukee, WI.

Eaton will consolidate operations at the North Street and Pewaukee facilities into Badger Drive, Waukesha, WI.

Manufacturing employees and office employees will move from Pewaukee and North Street to Badger Drive.

About 30 positions will be impacted. Impacted employees will receive a severance package or are invited to apply for other positions at Eaton.

The North Street and Pewaukee facilities will be closed and sold.

Groundbreaking on the Badger Drive expansion is planned this fall.
