FALL IS THE SEASON TO SUPPORT THE HAWS CAUSE
Waukesha animal resource center announces Happy Tails fundraiser, Holiday Wishes contest
 
WAUKESHA – September 3, 2019.  The annual meeting of HAWS, the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County, is Monday, September 23rd at 5:30pm at HAWS. The evening includes a review of the past year, board elections, and volunteer and employee awards. The public is welcome to attend; eligible voters are those members in good standing as of June 23, 2019.

The honor of your presence is requested at Happy Tails 2019: An Evening to Benefit HAWS, to be held on Friday, October 25th at 6:00pm the Marriott West. This special fundraiser features cocktails and a gourmet plated dinner, extraordinary live and silent auction items, heartwarming stories from HAWS, networking and interaction with HAWS’ adoptable pets. HAWS is “small animal central” this fall! Hoppy Hour for house rabbits is Sunday, September 8th, the Avian Extravaganza perches at HAWS on September 28th and the Guinea Pig Primer is in session on October 12th. The season isn’t over for HAWS’ Mobile Adoption team! Special visits include Central Bark New Berlin’s Puppy Pool Pawty (9/7), Kendra Scott at The Corners of Brookfield (9/12), North Prairie Harvest Fest (9/14) and the Bayside Restaurant Golf Outing (9/16). From now until September 23rd, HAWS adopters are asked to submit their story to help HAWS win a $100,000 Holiday Wishes grant from the Petco Foundation! Adopters can also win a $1000 Petco shopping spree and BOBS Skechers shoes; simply visit the Petco Foundation Holiday Wishes webpage for details.

  • Puppy Parties – every Sunday from 4:45-5:15pm. Pre-registration required at hawspets.org.
  • Pedicures – cats (9/14 & 24), small animals (9/11 & 21). Dog nail trims available daily on request!
