Hamacher Resource Group and Linkage Research Release Joint Research Brief on the Natural Skin Care

February 26, 2019
Waukesha, Wisconsin, February 26, 2019 – Hamacher Resource Group, Inc. and Linkage Research & Consulting, Inc. are releasing their first co-created research brief about the growing demand for natural skin care products. The new brief, “Demand for Natural Skin Care Products Poised for Growth,” looks at both consumer attitudes about natural skin care attributes and how the CPG industry has responded through the use of natural-focused phrases on packaging. The brief illustrates how the natural skin care market is destined for growth and outlines insights and opportunities for brand manufacturers and retailers.

The research uncovers incidence of consumers buying natural skin care products, reveals the top natural attributes consumers are seeking, and offers details about which retail channels consumers prefer to shop for natural skin care. In addition, the brief highlights the top five health, beauty, and wellness categories using “better-for-you” claims and which terms rise to the top for their frequency of use.

Angela Pinkstaff, HRG director of business development, said, “We’re excited to share this information with our clients to help them refine their point of differentiation in the natural landscape which is rapidly evolving, as are consumer preferences.”

Michele DeKinder-Smith, Linkage Research Founder & President, commented, “This glimpse into attitudes and trends in natural skin care is in line with the overall movement towards better-for-you products we’ve been tracking through our Free From Forum specialty practice for the last 5 years. Combined with HRG’s retail market intelligence, the brief provides meaningful reflections that brands will be able to factor into their retail execution strategies.”

Both HRG and Linkage Research will be attending Natural Products Expo West and will have the research brief with to share with fellow attendees. The brief can also be found on both companies’ websites: https://hamacher.com/natural-skin-care-research and https://freefromforum.com/skincare-brief/.

The consumer data the report is based on was gathered January 22-27, 2019 through Linkage’s specialty practice, the Free From Forum, in a large-scale internet-based study with 1,001 U.S. households. The study is representative of the U.S. population based on geography, gender, age, race, and income. The data on positioning statements is based on over 2,500 new health, beauty, and wellness items presented to HRG during 2018.
