Germantown, Wis. – I/O Technologies, southeastern Wisconsin’s premier source for custom software and software support solutions, has launched FastPunch 2.0, an updated version of its groundbreaking time and attendance software for employers.

FastPunch 2.0 adds mobile and touchscreen time logging capabilities to the software, which saves payroll costs for employers by tracking employees’ work time more accurately and efficiently. In addition to mobile and touchscreen access, the system can utilize RFID cards and readers, allowing employers to discard costly – and vulnerable to abuse – time cards and punch clocks.

The new mobile update enables employees who work remotely or in the field to punch in from their location using a cell phone app (Android or Apple). The new version allows all time and attendance data to be synced with a cloud or web database. FastPunch 2.0 interfaces with payroll companies’ programs for seamless service.

FastPunch 2.0 will debut Oct. 10-12 at the Wisconsin Manufacturing & Technology Show. I/O Technologies will offer live software demonstrations at its exhibit, #248 in the northeast section of the show floor.

“We are tremendously excited to launch FastPunch 2.0, which greatly expands the software’s capabilities and offers our clients more flexibility and functionality,” said Jeanie Martin, President of I/O Technologies. “FastPunch has proven itself to save time and money through greater accuracy of time tracking, and instant transmission of data and generation of reports. This update adheres to our mission of providing software development services that help clients focus on core business needs and boost profitability.”

I/O Technologies, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2019, released FastPunch in 2006. The software offered immediate cost savings by simplifying clocking in and out, automatically calculating overtime, uploading timecard data, and providing detailed reports on employees’ time worked and related pay.

FastPunch 2.0 offers unprecedented flexibility to configure payroll variables: pay rates, types of work, work locations, break times and more. Employees aren’t limited to one or two physical time clocks to check in, providing additional time and cost savings.

More so, by employing RFID tags, FastPunch 2.0 virtually eliminates the ability of workers to fraudulently punch in for one another. Its geofencing capability helps ensure that employees clocking in remotely have actually arrived on site before doing so.

I/O Technologies provides RFID tags and readers to support FastPunch 2.0. However, employers who decline to invest in the hardware can still use FastPunch by manually entering ID numbers via touchscreen or keyboard.

I/O Technologies provides software development and programming for clients in Wisconsin, across the U.S. and around the world. Its tailored software simplifies day-to-day business activities, and gathers, transfers and reports key business information – all of which lead to better decisions and lower operating costs.

I/O Technologies also supports legacy software products, especially Fox Pro, that many companies still use.

The programmers at I/O Technologies average 12 years in experience. The Milwaukee Business Journal has included I/O Technologies for many years in its “Largest Milwaukee-Area Software Product Companies” list.

I/O Technologies offers a free initial consultation for all projects. Its talented team works closely with clients throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure satisfaction with their new software. More information is available at www.iotechno.com, or by calling (262) 437-3239.
