James Broughton Appointed to Elmbrook Humane Society Board of Directors

Brookfield, WI — The public accounting and business advisory firm of Vrakas CPAs + Advisors is pleased to announce that James Broughton, CPA, has been asked to join the Board of Directors for Elmbrook Humane Society, a No Kill, non-profit animal shelter that provides temporary refuge for stray, homeless and deserted animals from all over Wisconsin. Elmbrook Humane Society’s mission is to provide shelter for homeless animals, promote the human animal bond, and prevent animal cruelty and neglect. Currently, with the help of over 200 volunteers, the shelter cares for nearly 2,100 animals each year and is able to offer valuable educational programs onsite to the community.

James joined Vrakas in 2010 and currently serves as a manager in the tax department.  His primary responsibilities include tax planning and compliance for closely-held businesses. He also has extensive experience working with corporate entities, including consolidated corporations, multi-state and multi-national companies.  James has a concentration of clients in the manufacturing, professional services, real estate and construction industries.
