'Leadership Waukesha' Program Accepting Applications
The class meets every other week for three hours at different locations throughout the county, exposing participants to businesses and nonprofits in the community. Class topics include keys to building a leadership team, communication and personality assessments, current political issues, volunteerism, leadership strength analysis, management vs. leadership, business ethics and more. In addition to 18 class sessions, Leadership Waukesha participants work as a team on a community-focused project to benefit local nonprofit agencies and their clients.
Graduates serve in significant leadership roles in the private sector, non-profit community and government. The 400+ past graduates includes local business leaders such as Dave Bahl, Weldall Mfg., Inc., Jayne Thoma, United Way of Waukesha County and Ty Taylor, Waukesha State Bank.
Applications are available at www.waukesha.org and are due by Monday, July 1, 2013. Tuition for the 9-month program is $1200 for members of the Waukesha County Business Alliance and $1500 for non-members. Partial scholarships for non-profit candidates are available.
