Local Company Receives International Training Award

ITU AbsorbTech was presented the BEST® Award during a ceremony held in Washington, D.C. in early October to recognize AbsorbUSM, ITU AbsorbTech’s center of excellence for training and leadership development.
"AbsorbU is tremendously important to us,” says Leef. “The AbsorbUSM certification process coordinates all of our people and the work they do, to the benefit of our customers."
The AbsorbUSM college comprises four schools, which focus on different learning needs within the organization: customer service, production, leadership, and business development. ITU AbsorbTech’s flagship training program is its Genuine Service Excellence certification program, which educates employees on the company's distinct brand of customer service.
The BEST® Award is the talent development industry’s most rigorous and coveted recognition. This award recognizes organizations that demonstrate enterprise-wide success through employee learning and development. The award is given by The Association for Talent Development (ATD), the world’s largest association dedicated to those who develop talent in organization.
For over 80 years, ITU AbsorbTech has provided managed service programs for launderable, reusable textile products in support of cleaner, safer and more productive work environments. ITU AbsorbTech’s environmentally preferred services include mats, garments, absorbents, towels, mops, gloves and first aid. They have 12 locations throughout WI, IL, IN, PA, SC, and MI.
