MEDIA TOURS OF NEW INTERACTIVE ENVIRONMENTAL LEARNING CENTER AT RETZER NATURE CENTER APRIL 3

(Waukesha, WI) – Media are invited to tour the Soft Opening of Retzer Nature Center’s newly renovated Interactive Environmental Education Center Exhibit Space. Staff will be available for tours and demonstrations throughout the facility. County Executive Paul Farrow will be on site for brief interviews and photo opportunities.

The new space incorporates displays on recycling, waste reduction, and water conservation into the existing ecology exhibits.  This project expands the existing nature center exhibits and programming to provide additional opportunities for schools and residents alike.
 
The exhibits and center will be a key element of the new, cooperative K-12 science and environmental education curriculum that was created collaboratively with the School District of Waukesha and Carroll University.  Projects such as this are leading the way for more innovation and STEM incorporation into our education programming.
