HARBOR HOMES UNVEILS AFFORDABLE NEW HOMES TO MEET THE MARKETPLACE DEMAND DURING SPECIAL RIBBON CUTTING CELEBRATION

On Tuesday, April 23rd, Harbor Homes, Inc. held a ribbon cutting celebration at The Villas at Lake Country Village neighborhood in the Village of Summit to announce its affordable new home concept. Invited guests and dignitaries included Paul Farrow, Waukesha County Executive; Ginger Kollmansberger, Regional Director for Senator Ron Johnson’s office; Suzanne Kelly, President and CEO of Waukesha County Business Alliance as well as Scott Thistle, President of Harbor Homes Inc., Matt Neumann, President of Neumann Companies and Steve Decleene, President of Neumann Developments Inc.
Harbor Homes is a new kind of home builder offering a fresh new line of smaller, more affordable homes to consumers while streamlining the home buying process. Lake Country Village is a neighborhood that offers three different home types and lot sizes to meet the price-point needs of consumers. Harbor Homes is building smaller homes on narrower homesites that brings the price-point down within the Villas at Lake Country Village.
“Harbor Homes was created as a direct response to the lack of affordability in today’s marketplace,” said Scott Thistle, President of Harbor Homes, Inc. “We are excited to fill this gap and provide an unmatched value to homebuyers.”
Harbor Homes drive for affordability is based on the development of home designs using value engineering, sourcing materials and trade contractors that bring value and efficiency and a process that is simplified and less complex.  For example, the builder is offering turn-key
financing to save buyers the hassle of construction loans and fixed pricing with no cost overruns giving buyers peace of mind.
“We want to make it easy for everyone to be able to purchase a new home while giving them the best value for their money,” added Thistle.
Lake Country Village features three unique single family neighborhoods with approximately 300 total home sites, 115 are in the Villas with the first 25 available now. This thoughtfully planned neighborhood will offer approximately 110 acres of permanently preserved parks and open space for residents to enjoy. With an annual association fee, homeowners will enjoy neighborhood amenities including five miles of walking and bicycle trails, play areas, swimming pools, fire pits, and flex basketball courts just to name a few.
Harbor Homes will feature narrower lot sizes which is a trend that it will be carrying forward with its partner company, Neumann Developments Inc. The two entities will be introducing more lifestyle neighborhoods with a variety of products to hit different price points for homebuyers in the greater Milwaukee area and throughout southeastern Wisconsin.  Other neighborhoods Harbor Homes is currently building their affordable new homes includes Farmstead Creek in Slinger, Greystone in Port Washington, Partridge Hollow in Hartford, and Pine Ridge Estates in Oconomowoc. Pricing for these new homes range from $289,900 to $400,000.
Thus far, public response to the Harbor Homes building concept has been extremely positive.
“The millennial population is the largest demographic pool seeking homeownership,” said Corey Gerth, Harbor Homes Director of Sales. “We now have a product to meet their needs.  Interest has been great from the homes we’ve listed so far and we already have sales.”
