May 04, 2021
The Waukesha Education Foundation, Inc. (WEF) announces the nomination period for the annual WEF Recognition Awards is now open.

Each year, the Waukesha Education Foundation, Inc. accepts nominations for individuals or organizations that have made a difference within the School District of Waukesha and throughout the community. The WEF Recognition Awards include three separate categories: Corporate Partners in Education award, Community Partners in Education award, and the Sally Jo Michalko Lifetime Excellence in Education award.

These awards honor corporations, organizations, individuals, or educators that have made a significant contribution to education in the School District of Waukesha. WEF seeks nominees that are innovative examples of collaboration with the community that demonstrate our motto STRONG SCHOOLS=STRONG BUSINESSES=STRONG COMMUNITIES.

“We look forward to honoring our 2020 Sally Jo Michalko Lifetime Excellence in Education Award winner, Dr. Todd Gray, at the Evening for Education event on October 21 at the Milwaukee Marriott (Waukesha). Due to COVID-19, this event was postponed last year and we are excited to honor him, as well as our 2021 Award Winners, ” explained Lynnette Kalmadge, Executive Director of the Waukesha Education Foundation.

This year’s award winners will be examples of those companies, organizations, individuals, and educators that truly give back to the community. “We honor those that have put a priority on education and support the efforts of the School District of Waukesha,“ Kalmadge continued.

“We hope our community will bring forth wonderful nominees so we can recognize these important contributions to our future generation.”

Information and the nomination forms can be found online at www.waukeshaeducationfoundation.org, under the AWARDS link. The nomination deadline is June 1, 2021. Both online and paper applications are available.
