(WAUKESHA, WI) – On Tuesday, April 10, members of the media are invited to tour the
Waukesha County Communications (WCC) Center’s new building addition. Expansion of the WCC includes a new Emergency Operations Center (EOC), a larger 911 dispatch area, and administrative and operational space for emergency management personnel.
The ribbon cutting will take place during both National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week (April 8-14) and Tornado & Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin (April 9-13). The new EOC is a state-of-the-art facility built to maintain functionality even in extreme weather conditions, including an EF-2 tornado. It provides Waukesha County with the technology and space to achieve the best possible outcomes in case of natural or manmade disasters.
