Sarit Singhal, CEO of SSR, Receives COSBE’s P. Michael Mahoney Award
Given by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce in recognition of exemplary service and volunteerism
Brookfield, Wis. (May 23, 2018) – Superior Support Resources (SSR), an award-winning IT firm serving small to mid-sized businesses, announces that its president and CEO, Sarit Singhal, has been presented with the 2018 Council of Small Business Executive’s (COSBE) P. Michael Mahoney Award, given in recognition of his exemplary service and volunteerism. COSBE is part of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) with a focus on advocating for small businesses.
“I would like to sincerely thank everyone at MMAC for this honor,” said Singhal. “I hold my association with MMAC in high regard as it has given me opportunities to support initiatives that I am passionate about – such as education and small business – while making a positive impact on my career and my business.”
Singhal has been a member of the MMAC for more than 20 years and recently completed the maximum two-consecutive terms on the COSBE Board of Directors. He also serves on the Education Committee for COSBE, focused on present and future workforce needs to support local businesses.
“As an entrepreneur, Sarit injects new strategies to the table and pushes us all to do more for our membership and the business community,” said Stephanie Hall, Executive Director of COSBE. “His spirit of innovation and belief in the power of collaboration was instrumental in the launch and rapid growth of the Be the Spark Business Tour program for Milwaukee Public School seventh graders.”
As a Board Member of COSBE, Singhal’s efforts expanded the Be the Spark Business Tour program to include 3,000 seventh grade Milwaukee Public School students and 75 Milwaukee-area businesses (up from 920 students and 25 businesses in 2014). He has also made the benefits of MMAC membership known to many others, helping to grow the membership base.
Mary Isbister, President of GenMet and fellow MMAC and COSBE member, presented the award to Singhal at MMAC's May Executive Viewpoint meeting. In her presentation speech, she talked about how Singhal has made a meaningful impact by helping the MMAC grow and support its initiatives with his energy, camaraderie, dedication and entrepreneurial-style.
“It’s an honor to be a part of MMAC and COSBE. From the relationships I have made to the business advice I’ve received, to the impact the organization makes on the community, I truly feel I have received more than I have given,” stated Singhal.
