Shoppers to Take Advantage of Wisconsin’s First Sales Tax Holiday with Meijer

Meijer is a one-stop shop for all sales tax holiday needs  
Who: Meijer, a Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer that operates more than 240 supercenters and grocery stores throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Wisconsin.
What: Come celebrate Wisconsin’s first sales tax holiday with Meijer! From Aug. 1 – 5, taxes on a variety of items will be exempt.
The tax holiday applies to home supplies, clothing, electronics, back-to-school essentials and more. During the sales tax holiday, the following items are not taxable:
  •        Clothing, if the sales price of any single item if $75 or less;
  •        A computer purchased by a consumer for personal use, if the price of the computer is $750 or less;
  •        School computer supplies purchased by the consumer for personal use, if the sales price of any single item is $250 or less; and
  •        School supplies, if the sales price of any single item is $75 or less.
 
Midwest retailer Meijer is ready to help shoppers take advantage of the holiday and check everything off their lists. Meijer store directors are available for interviews showcasing eligible items during the sales tax holiday.
Where & When: Any of the 10 Meijer supercenters throughout Wisconsin.
Wednesday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 5.

  •        Trending back-to-school items;
  •        The best sales tax holiday deals; and
  •        Needed back-to-school immunizations and health topics.
 
Opportunities for customer interviews and to capture photos and b-roll are also available.
