Sky Zone packs October with special events for first anniversary & Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 02, 2014
WAUKESHA, WIS., – To celebrate its one-year anniversary, Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park in Waukesha is hosting a weekend celebration Oct. 3 – 5 that’s jam packed with fun activities, special pricing and the chance to win an entire year of free jumping. In addition, throughout October, the trampoline park will “go pink” to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Sky Zone’s three-day anniversary celebration offers activities for all ages, from toddlers to teens to adults. Throughout the weekend, guests can enjoy an hour of jumping for $10 and special pricing on food and beverages. Also, everyone is encouraged to guess the number of stickers on a giant Sky Zone sticker ball. For a year, Sky Zone visitors have been adding their jump stickers to the ball and it’s now grown to over two feet tall by three feet wide. The person with the closest guess will win an entire year of free jumping at Sky Zone.

Anniversary Activities
The Sky Zone festivities begin on Friday with a toddler time jump with Queen Elsa from 10 a.m.-Noon and a slam dunk contest at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, the day includes free arcade games, face painting and caricatures, a visit from the Pewaukee Fire Department and fire engine tours, dodgeball and slam dunk contests and anniversary cake. The Milwaukee Brewers Famous Racing Sausages, Admirals mascot Roscoe, Miss Wisconsin and Icee Bear will also stop by at various times.

Other activities include dodgeball, slam dunk contests and a special dodgeball tournament.

Sunday night from 5-7 p.m., Sky Zone is hosting a high-flying Young Stars Dodgeball Tournament on its trampoline courts for ages 10-15. Breast Cancer Awareness Month
In addition to its anniversary celebration, Sky Zone is “going pink” in October to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The company is offering its signature SkySocks in pink and guests will be able to purchase pink Sky Zone t-shirts and wrist bands. Sky Zone is also offering a special pink Icee watermelon flavor throughout October.

For every pair of pink SkySocks purchased at Sky Zone parks across the United States and Canada, a percentage of the proceeds will go to support the FAB-U-WISH foundation in partnership with The Pink Agenda. Plus, Sky Zone will match each SkySock purchase by guests. Locally, Sky Zone will donate a percentage of sales from pink shirts, bracelets and pink watermelon Icees to breast cancer awareness.

Sky Zone is also hosting a “pink out” event on Oct.  29, 6-8 p.m. During that time, anyone who wears their pink Sky Zone t-shirt will get an hour of free jumping.

FAB-U-WISH was created by E! News host and breast cancer survivor Giuliana Rancic. All funds donated in support of the partnership will be split evenly between funding cancer research and granting life-changing wishes to breast cancer patients.

“One of our core values at Sky Zone is to do good. We like to give back to the community so we’re excited to be involved with Giuliana and support Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” says Bron Launsby, owner of Sky Zone in Waukesha. “We hope the pink SkySock initiative will encourage families to have active fun while supporting this incredibly important cause.”
