THREE PILLARS SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITIES LAUNCHES SEVENTH ANNUAL MUSIC VIDEO

May 12, 2021
Dousman, Wis. May 11, 2021 — Every year, Older Americans Month is observed in the month of May, led by the Administration for Community Living.

The theme for 2021 is "Communities of Strength," and this year, as in the past six years, Three Pillars Senior Living Communities’ staff and residents released a music video to celebrate.

According to the Administration for Community Living, “Older adults have built resilience and strength over their lives through successes, failures, joys, and difficulties. Their stories and contributions help to support and inspire others. This Older Americans Month, we will celebrate the strength of older adults…with special emphasis on the power of connection and engagement in building strong communities.”

2015 marked the first year Three Pillars created an Older Americans Month music video, and an annual tradition was born. Each video shows how the residents of Three Pillars embrace life and never stop having fun.

This year’s video to the tune of the Rocky theme song, “Gonna Fly Now,” is an empowering compilation that features about 100 residents and staff members showing off their strength, resiliency, and great attitudes.

A friend of Three Pillars and grandson of a resident, Clayton Chase, volunteered as drone videographer for the project.

Three Pillars resident, Nancy Buckley, has enjoyed all seven of the community’s videos, and says this one is her favorite to date. “Of all the videos, this is the best yet! It shows all these dynamic people doing what they do every day, being strong and being positive - it’s just wonderful.” Both Nancy and her husband participated in the video and had a great time.
