UW-Waukesha Lunt-Fontanne Ensemble Theatre Announces Auditions for Dr. Seuss's The Cat in the Hat

WAUKESHA - The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha’s Theatre Department announces auditions for The Cat in the Hat, a theatrical adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic. From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and her brother know that The Cat In The Hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat they have ever met. With the trickiest of tricks and craziest of ideas, he is certainly fun to play with. And he turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure. Cold readings from the script. All ages and types. College, high school and middle school students encouraged to audition. Auditions are held in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

Performances will be held on Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25 at 10am and 1pm; Friday, June 26 at 7:30pm.

Auditions for the Lunt-Fontanne Ensemble production of The Cat in the Hat will be held on the UW-Waukesha campus Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, 1pm-3pm. The audition will consist of cold readings from the script.

The Cat in the Hat will be performed at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, Thursday, June 25 and at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 26 in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on the UW-Waukesha campus, 1500 N. University Drive, Waukesha.

 The UW-Waukesha Lunt-Fontanne Ensemble presents a wide variety of productions. As a college theatre program, education is the primary goal, and shows are produced in a variety of genres.
