UWM at Waukesha Field Station to hold Fall Fest

Located on Waterville Road near Oconomowoc, the 98-acre site includes the original farmstead, Wildlife in Need Center, classroom building and wood-fired kiln. The site is surrounded by ninefoot tall prairie grasses and 50-foot pine trees, along with a small lake and spring-fed stream.
In addition to self-guided tours of the Field Station, there will be guided tours of the prairie and an Art & Nature tour. Presentations include Insect Biology with UW-Madison’s Insect Ambassadors and Reestablishing Prairie Habitat at Home
A native pollinator presentation, face painting and a scavenger hunt are just a few of the children’s activities planned.
The Field Station’s address is W349-S1480 S. Waterville Road. Fest activities will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Field Station calendars, professional photos, shirts and raffle tickets are among the items that will be for sale. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
