Brookfield, WI – The public accounting and business advisory firm of Vrakas S.C. is pleased to announce the promotions of Nicole Gabriel, CPA and Michelle Van, CPA as Manager.
Gabriel, previously an associate, has been promoted to Manager, in the firm's audit department. She began her career as an intern for the firm in the spring of 2013 and joined the professional staff in 2014 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Masters of Professional Accountancy. Gabriel is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She resides in Milwaukee, WI.
As an Audit Manager, Gabriel’s responsibilities include providing accounting and assurance services for closely-held businesses in the manufacturing, professional services and construction industries. She also has expertise in conducting employee benefit plan audits.
Van, previously an associate, has been promoted to Manager, in the firm's tax department. She began her career as an intern for the firm in the spring of 2014 and joined the professional staff in 2015 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Masters of Professional Accountancy. Van is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She resides in Waukesha, WI.
As a Tax Manager, Van’s responsibilities include the preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns, as well as assisting in tax planning and research support for closely-held businesses and their owners. She also has an active role in the development and training of newly hired associates within her department.
