WaterStone receives 'Top Workplace' honor 6th consecutive year

June 18, 2015
Wauwatosa, Wis. — For the sixth consecutive year, WaterStone Bank was recognized by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in its annual “Top Workplaces” special edition, a report that honors organizations on Southeastern Wisconsin that make their employees feel appreciated and part of something meaningful.

Approximately 85 percent of the bank’s employees responded to the elective survey that focused on employer communication, management and the employee’s overall happiness in his or her current position.

WaterStone Bank is once again ranked as a “Top Workplace” because of its commitment to its employees.

“Being named a Top Workplace for the 6th year in a row is truly an exceptional accomplishment,” said Ian Konrath, Vice President of Human Resources for WaterStone. “The success of WaterStone Bank falls on each and every employee working throughout the organization and is a testament to each employee’s drive, focus and ability.”

In addition to being known for its excellent customer service and numerous community partnerships, the bank also provides employees with a flexible work environment, opportunities for personal and professional development and exemplary benefits.

“WaterStone Bank is a caring organization and holds the needs of the customer at the forefront of all decisions,” said one employee about the WaterStone workplace. “We never have to feel we are sacrificing a relationship with a customer for the sake of a sale.”

Another employee added, “WaterStone does a lot of work with the community and is always looking to expand its donations. I also appreciate when Corporate staff will stop at the branches to talk with us or drop by to say thank you.”

“We make every effort to provide a quality workplace for our outstanding employees,” said Doug Gordon, President and Chief Executive Officer of WaterStone Bank. “We need to reward them for their exceptional customer service and the positive results they provide shareholders.”
