Waukesha County's Backpack Coalition ''Fill the Bus'' Campaign to Receive 5% of Good Harvest Sales
Each year the Backpack Coalition organizes, collects, assembles and distributes approximately 2,000 backpacks with grade appropriate school supplies to students in grades K-12 throughout Waukesha County. Backpacks and school supplies are provided free of charge from contributions donated by individuals, families, groups, churches and companies.
Throughout the year, Good Harvest hosts events that benefit the local community. The ever popular 5 & 5 day allows customers to save 5% on their total store purchase while an additional 5% of the day’s sales are donated to a local, non-profit organization. “We wanted to have a back-to-school theme for the month of August to help our local schools and kids in need", said Jody Nolan, co-owner, "The Backpack Coalition was a great fit and wonderful cause to support.”
5% of the day’s sales on August 1st will be donated to the Backpack Coalition. Customers will also have the option of donating their 5% store discount to the cause.
Since 2005, Good Harvest Market has improved the health of local community members by offering the largest selection of organic products in the area, educating area residents about better choices in their food and overall health and reducing its carbon footprint by offering as many local products as possible. In late April, Good Harvest opened their larger state of the art facility just a 1/4 mile from their previous sore location. A portion of their sales goes to local causes and organizations. Good Harvest is located at 2205 Silvernail Road in the city of Waukesha, just south of I-94 off Exit #293.
Good Harvest Market store hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-9pm, Saturday, 8am-7pm and Sunday, 9am-7pm. The Harvest Cafe hours are Monday through Friday, 7am-8:30pm, Saturday, 7am-6:30pm and Sunday 9am-5:30pm.
