Women and Girls Fund grant application deadline is Feb. 28
The WGF will award grants up to $10,000 each, and values programs and projects that demonstrate collaboration and create efficiencies between agencies working to achieve similar goals. In 2017, the WGF awarded a total of nearly $85,000 to 10 local non-profit organizations. Since its inception, the Fund has granted about $800,000 to countywide nonprofit organizations.
The WGF, established in 2004, seeks to aid and enrich the lives of women and girls so they become thriving residents of their communities. Each year, the WGF awards grants to local nonprofit agencies to support projects and programs that promote the welfare, independence and self-sufficiency of women and girls of all ages. Areas of interest include leadership, education, health and wellness, family and relationships, and arts and culture.
