    Etw, Inc., formerly known as Enco Tool Works, began in 1945 in a small metal garage located in downtown Waukesha, WI.

    Enco Tool Works was founded by four individuals one of which was Eddie Held. Not even 30 years old, Eddie had a dream: to start his own company that specialized in high-speed steel, manufacturing stick tools, and later carbide stick tools. This was just the beginning of a now five-generation family business.
